Celebrating Lt. Colonel Jared Gevock and Allen Phillips

We were proud to celebrate Lieutenant Colonel Jared Gevock’s retirement this week, marking the end of a distinguished 24-year military career.

Jared began his service in 2001 as an anti-armor specialist with the Iowa National Guard and later commissioned as an Infantry Officer. He served in deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, the Middle East, and in multiple domestic operations.

His service earned him several high honors, including:

• Bronze Star Medal (w/OLC)
• Meritorious Service Medal
• Army and Air Force Commendation Medals
• Combat Infantryman Badge
• Pathfinder Badge
• Order of Saint Maurice – Centurion Medal

Another distinguished award, was also given as a surprise to Allen Phillips with the “Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award” from the US Department of Defense.

The “Patriot Employer Award” honors individuals, particularly supervisors or employers, who demonstrate exceptional support for National Guard and Reserve members and their families. This support often includes offering flexible schedules, time off, and other measures that assist with the demands of military service.

While the award was in Allen’s name, it is with the entirety of Senior Housing Consultants that this award was made possible. This recognition is appreciated and truly humbling.
